1. How and under whose authority does the procedure of admission takes place?

The Competent Authority duly appointed by the Government of Maharashtra and headed by the Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, shall be the authority for Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

2. How many seats are available for OMS (Out of Maharashtra State) candidates?

All OMS candidates will be considered as general category candidates and will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria.

-The Head/Principal of concerned unaided institute shall effect these admissions.

3. What is the eligibility criterion for a candidate seeking admission to First Year Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology?

For admission to first year of Diploma Courses, the candidates must have passed  Maharashtra State Board of Secondary School Certificate Examination or any other equivalent Examination With minimum 35% marks (in best five subjects which includes English,Science, and Mathematics subject) in aggregate.

4. What is the eligibility criterion for a candidate seeking admission to Direct Second Year (third Semester) Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology?

For admission to direct second year diploma course the candidates must have passed  H.S.C/12th  standared

5. Which documents are required to claim reservation for Backward Class candidates?

The documents required for supporting the backward class reservation claim made by candidates are as per the details given in the following table: (For CAP admissions only)

6. What is the fee structure for admission?

Fee structure is decided by Shikshan Shulka Samiti, Govt. of Maharashtra, which is as follows:

7. What is the mode of payment of fees?

 DD drawn in favour of “S.V.S.M.D’s Polytechnic, Akkalkot” payable at Akkalkot.

8. Which amenities are provided in the campus?

Spacious class rooms, well equipped laboratories, canteen facility, hostel facility, bus facility, library & reading room, computer center, photo copy centre, gymkhana and sports equipments.

9. What transportation facilities are avilable to reach to the Institute?

 The MSRTC buses towards Gangapur, Afzalpur are frequently arrive at the institute from all the areas of Akkalkot City.  Also we provide transprtation facility for the students at subsidized fare.  The fare is yearly and based on pickup point.

It was established in 2009 and with successfully 1st  Batch is passed out.

20: Is document verification essential for open category (or general) candidate?

No only reserved category candidate will have to go through document verification during CAP round at ARC (Application Receiving Centers).

21:  Which documents are necessary for verification?

22:  Do we need to submit the original documents during admission ?

Yes, original documents will be submitted & returned back to the candidate after passing diploma.

23: Fee structure for hostel?

Boys Hostel – Yearly : 7000 + 3000 (Deposit)  including breakfast,lunch,dinner & laundry.

24:  Whether there is any dress code in the College ?

 Yes, there is dress code.

25: College Timing?

09:30 am to 04:00 pm.

26: Commencement of Classes?

As per academic calendar by MSBTE.

27: Rules for attendance?

Students are required to attend 75 % of theory and practical classes separately.

28: Is there any internet facility for students?

There is separate centralized computer centre which is well furnished, air-conditioned with internet facilty for students. Our campus is covered by leased line network which is available for 24 x 7.

29: Explain in detail about the faculties?

Each one of our faculty member is highly experience & highly qualified with  B.E., M.E., M.Tech degrees. Our faculty monitor students with continuous assessment. Also they pay special attention on weak students & help them to understand each topic thoroughly.

30: Is there any separate department for Training & Placement?

Yes, we have T & P Cell .

31: Is there any training program for the faculty member?

 Yes, training to the faculties is our regular progarm.

32: What advantages do I get by doing diploma?

Engineering diploma serves as foundation for Engineering,To make a solid foundation diploma is must. Moreover nowdays companies also demands diploma students for the placements.

After diploma students can get admission to Direct Second Year  Engineering Degree.

33:  What is Scope of Enginnering Courses ?

As the working criteria of a Engineer changes according to the type and domain of the company they are working with and field of specialization we can broadly say that a  Engineer works how to Design and control a system that goes into the process. He tests new systems for feasibility and efficiency and carries out Quality management and improvement process.
